This is an action game in which players assume the role of a young prince, who after being granted a wish by a genie, must save a princess and a kingdom overrun by evil. Along the way, players use their character's acrobatic skills to progress through fantasy levels, and battle many other-worldly creatures. Players use swords, arrows, and their claws to attack "corrupted" human soldiers and creatures. The enemy creatures often disappear in a cloud of smoke and a puddle of green slime. The frequent combat is sometimes augmented by slow-motion effects or close-up finishing moves: players jump in the air and impale creatures with their sword while coming down; players can also slash at a giant rock creature's neck to sever its vine-like limbs (green sap-like fluid squirts out of the felled monster).
Description
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is the next chapter in the fan-favorite Sands of Time universe. Visiting his brother's kingdom following his adventure in Azad, the Prince finds the royal palace under siege from a mighty army bent on its destruction. When the decision is made to use the ancient power of the Sand in a desperate gamble to save the kingdom from total annihilation, the Prince will embark on an epic adventure in which he will learn to bear the mantle of true leadership, and discover that great power often comes with a great cost.
